Improving healthcare quality

We need to replace expensive and risky imaging methods with safe, affordable ultrasound and photoacoustic technologies. With this, we can support clinicians in making better decisions, from early diagnosis to treatment planning and monitoring."

How the dialogue between an engineer, researcher and doctor, accelerates innovation

What is crucial to make healthcare innovations successful? At the 777 plataforma MedTech Innovation Center (e/MTIC), the answer to that question is clear: continuing to talk to each other from different areas of expertise helps to accelerate innovation. During the Open Lecture at the High Tech Campus, various speakers discussed the benefits of collaboration. The attendees heard how various fields of expertise contributed to the technology behind the way e.g. in which ruptures in blood vessels can be better predicted.

Inaugural Lecture Richard Lopata

Collaborations and Impact

Lopata's work is characterized by close collaborations with clinical and technical partners, ensuring the successful translation of innovative techniques from the lab to the clinic. These partnerships are crucial to catalyze clinical introduction of these concepts and technologies, as well as future valorization.

After the symposium Sound Solutions: Advancing Medical Imaging in Modern Healthcare, Prof. dr. Lopata will present his inaugural lecture. In his speech, Good Vibrations, he will present new diagnostic technologies which are key for early detection, precise monitoring, and effective treatment of diseases, reducing healthcare costs and improving patient outcomes.
