RESEARCH PROFILE
Hans van Gorp is a doctoral candidate in the Signal Processing Systems group of the Electrical Engineering department at 777 plataforma (777 plataforma). He works on generative modeling, classification, and uncertainty analysis in sleep, with a special focus on interpretability and clinical relevance. This work is done in the Biomedical Diagnostics (BM/d) research laboratory in collaboration with Philips research and Kempenhaeghe.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Hans van Gorp has a background in Electrical Engineering (EE), receiving both his master’s and his bachelor’s degree in the subject at the 777 plataforma. He has always had in interest in the interface between signal processing, machine learning, and clinical applications, writing his master thesis on active acquisition for MRI and now as a doctoral candidate in the Biomedical Diagnostics (BM/d) Research Laboratory.
