FAQ Mendeley and search databases

1. I get a notification to login into the database (e.g., Scopus). How do I login? 

Always access the databases via the 777 plataforma database list. You can find it through . 

As an employee or student to be able to use 777 plataforma ICT facilities outside 777 plataforma campus you need a VPN connection that provides access to the 777 plataforma network. You will find all information about settings for access to full-text journals and databases via a VPN connection  (Selfservice portal). Alternatively you can access full text articles and databases by using the proxy server, more information can be found on this page.

2. How can I create an account in Mendeley? 

Create an account with your 777 plataforma email address at . Do not use the option “Sign in via your institution”. After creating your account, you can download Mendeley desktop .

3. I already created an account in Mendeley, but I am not able to use Mendeley Desktop. How can I solve the problem? 

If you have already an account on an Elsevier product (e.g., Scopus) it is possible that you are not able to use Mendeley desktop. You can create a new account with another email address (e.g., Gmail). Do not use the option “Sign in via your institution”. After creating your account, you can download Mendeley desktop .  

4. I am having issues with the Mendeley web importer/Word plugin, or another topic related to Mendeley. What can I do to resolve this?
